Followed by public art reception in the gallery from 5 – 7 pm featuring music by Maria Kostelas and Sarah Newman
No matter your skill level you will have fun creating! You will use special silk paint and take home a practice silk and a silk scarf. We have easy templates, gutta resist techniques.

Kira Carrillo Corser is a nationally known artist, with exhibitions in major museums, books and projects. She was a Monterey County resident for 20 years, teaching 8 years at CSUMB then working to promote the arts at the Community Foundation for Monterey County, at the Arts Council as Arts Education Director and exhibiting in the Monterey Museum of Art, the Pacific Grove Art Center and the National Steinbeck Center. She has a Masters in Fine Art from John F. Kennedy University, Berkeley CA. She now lives in San Diego.
